A New Mexico artist and resident for over 40 years, Pat paints not only Southwest landscapes but an unending variety of subject matter with a sensitive yet realistic style that has a softness and glow seldom found in modern oil paintings. Her "penthouse" studio atop her Albuquerque home provides the atmosphere and light needed to produce these peaceful and compelling fine art works. She enjoys commissioned work and will produce an oil painting with your choice of subject that will delight you for years to come.

Artist's Philosophy

I feel humans have a need for creativity. We are all born with this urge for self-expression. When fulfilled, there is the reward of accomplishment, peace, and inner joy. There are many methods of self-expression; for me, it's oil painting. I feel such well-being, contentment and serenity when I am painting that it's like being in church and wanting to be a missionary for the cause.

To attempt to reproduce God's beauty allows the eyes, mind and heart to open and begin to really appreciate the things so often taken for granted. Whether an artist ever becomes 'successful' is not the point. It's much more important that our lives become receptive and fulfilled as awareness is sharpened and the enjoyment heightened.
