Artist's Philosophy
I feel humans have a need for creativity.
We are all born with this urge for self-expression.
When fulfilled, there is the reward of accomplishment,
peace, and inner joy. There are many methods of self-expression;
for me, it's oil painting. I feel such well-being, contentment and
serenity when I am painting that it's like being in church and
wanting to be a missionary for the cause.
To attempt to reproduce God's beauty allows the eyes,
mind and heart to open and begin to really appreciate
the things so often taken for granted. Whether an artist
ever becomes 'successful' is not the point. It's much
more important that our lives become receptive and fulfilled
as awareness is sharpened and the enjoyment heightened.
